Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and how you can control them.
Last updated: 25 May 2026
Quick summary: We use essential cookies to make our platform work, functional cookies to remember your preferences (theme, currency), and analytics cookies to improve the experience. We do not use advertising cookies without your consent.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website or use an online service. They allow websites to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and gather information about how you use the site.
Cookies are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide reporting information. They may be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services operating on that website ("third-party cookies").
Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them).
2. How We Use Cookies
Paid2Marketing uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Authentication: To keep you logged in and maintain your session securely across pages.
- Preferences: To remember settings you have chosen, such as your selected display theme (light/dark) and preferred currency (USD, LKR, EUR).
- Security: To detect and prevent fraudulent activity and to protect the security of your account.
- Performance: To understand how users interact with our platform so we can identify bottlenecks and improve performance.
- Analytics: To collect aggregate statistics about platform usage, which helps us understand which features are most valuable to our users.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, filling in forms, or setting your preferences. Without these cookies, services you have requested cannot be provided.
- Session ID cookie: Maintains your authenticated session. Expires at the end of your browser session.
- CSRF token cookie: Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks. Expires with the session.
- Cookie consent cookie: Records your cookie preferences. Persistent, expires after 12 months.
3.2 Functional Cookies
These cookies allow us to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, personalised features. The information collected by these cookies is anonymised and cannot be used to track your activity on other websites.
- p2m-theme: Stores your preferred colour theme (light or dark mode). Persistent, stored in localStorage.
- p2m-currency: Stores your preferred display currency (USD, LKR, or EUR). Persistent, stored in localStorage.
- Language preference: Remembers your language/locale setting. Persistent, expires after 12 months.
3.3 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website and platform by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This helps us improve our website and user experience.
- Page view tracking: Records which pages you visit and how long you spend on them.
- Event tracking: Records interactions such as button clicks, form submissions, and feature usage.
- Performance monitoring: Collects data about page load times and errors.
3.4 Marketing Cookies
We do not place marketing or advertising cookies without your explicit consent. If you consent to marketing cookies, they may be used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertising on our site and across the web.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our platform are placed by third-party services. We have limited control over these cookies, and their use is governed by the privacy policies of those third parties. Common third-party services we use include:
- Payment processors: When you make a payment, our payment gateway may set cookies to facilitate the secure transaction.
- Analytics providers: We may use analytics tools that set their own cookies to collect aggregated usage data.
- Support chat: Our customer support chat tool may set cookies to maintain chat session state.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third-party services for more information on their cookie practices.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
5.1 Browser Controls
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View all cookies stored on your device and delete them individually or in bulk
- Block third-party cookies
- Block all cookies (note: this may significantly impair the functionality of our platform)
- Set the browser to notify you when a cookie is being set
To manage cookies in your browser, consult your browser's help documentation:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
5.2 Platform Preferences
Within the Paid2Marketing platform, you can manage functional preferences (theme and currency) directly in the navigation bar. These preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage rather than traditional cookies, giving you direct control.
5.3 Opt-Out of Analytics
To opt out of analytics tracking, you can adjust your preferences through our cookie consent banner (available on first visit) or by contacting us at support@paid2marketing.com.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites requesting that your browsing not be tracked. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals.
At present, our website does not alter its behaviour in response to DNT signals. We continue to collect the minimum data necessary to provide our Services and improve user experience. We will revisit this position as industry standards develop.
